The new Winona YMCA, covering 64,750 square feet, offers an inclusive and welcoming environment with 24/7 access to its wellness center, racquetball courts, and gymnasium. Designed for universal accessibility, it features a café in the lobby, a family fun center with a playground, and a six-lane zero-depth entry pool. The facility fosters community health through partnerships with Winona Health, Live Well Winona, and the American Red Cross, integrating services like physical therapy. With its open design, high ceilings, and ample windows, the YMCA aims to create a bright, inviting space for health and wellness engagement.

ASI Architectural contributed to the Winona Family YMCA project by providing 2,163 square feet of Grille backered and doweled ceiling system. This included 312 panels made of solid poplar, which were custom stained and finished with clear Class A varnish to meet the customer’s specifications. Our Grille ceiling panels are easily installed to t-grid using a clip that requires no tools, saving time and money during installation. The finished install was on-budget, on-time, and brought a warmth to the new Winona YMCA space that only wood ceiling products can provide.
