Project Overview
Angle Lake Station is a major transit gateway in SeaTac, Washington, developed as part of Sound Transit’s South 200th Link Extension. Opened in 2016, the elevated light rail station connects riders to the regional transit system while incorporating a large parking structure, public plaza, passenger drop-off areas, bicycle facilities, and bus connections. The project was designed to improve mobility and support future transit-oriented development, creating a more connected and welcoming public space at the southern end of the line.
ASI’s Contribution
ASI Architectural contributed 12,700 square feet of Linear Alumiline ceiling panels in a clear anodized finish for Angle Lake Station. Installed on platform ceilings where passengers wait, as well as throughout busy station walkways and high-traffic circulation areas, the aluminum linear system provides a clean, durable architectural finish suited to a public transit environment. The sleek metal panels complement the station’s modern design while helping create a cohesive visual experience and supporting improved acoustics in areas where noise control is especially important.
