Project Overview
The Livingston Lord Library at Minnesota State University Moorhead was transformed through a major renovation into a modern learning resource center designed to support contemporary student life. The four-story project reimagined the library’s interior with updated technology, flexible study areas, media labs, collaborative spaces, and improved service points, while also addressing major building systems and accessibility needs. By balancing infrastructure upgrades with welcoming, student-focused spaces, the renovation created a brighter, more efficient campus destination for research, learning, and connection.
ASI’s Contribution
ASI Architectural contributed 7,800 square feet of maple Microperf ceiling and wall panels to the Livingston Lord Library renovation at Minnesota State University Moorhead. The panels feature a maple micro-perforated veneer in a lift-and-twist application, creating a smooth, monolithic look with a 1/4” accent reveal. Visible throughout the renovated library spaces, the installation adds natural warmth and acoustic comfort while helping transform an outdated facility into a comfortable, modern library on the University of Minnesota-Moorhead campus.
