The Lynne Hallstrom Detrick Concert Hall is part of Oregon State University’s new Arts and Education Complex, designed to facilitate more intimate music performances on the Corvallis campus. With extraordinary acoustics and a seating capacity of 490, it offers a world-class experience for every audience member. Detrick Hall is ideal for music ensembles, sinfonietta, popular music, choral performances, film festivals, and it serves as a venue for classes, lectures, and readings.

This project included ASI Architectural’s Custom Cloud Panels featuring CNC laser-cut steel torsion box frames measuring. These cloud panels were powder-coated black, with varying radiuses, widths, and arc lengths, each equipped with multiple 0.5” diameter mounting holes. The trim was also CNC cut to match the panel arcs and radiuses, ensuring a cohesive design. The panel backs were factory-finished in black, and a recycled cotton liner was provided for field application. Additionally, the natural PS walnut veneer face and edges were finished with a clear lacquer.
